外国弟子Damian写给师父的信：感谢您帮助我了解

Dear Shifu,

This was written after I returned from the mountain this weekend. I was reading the Book of Dao and De. I am wondering what it means to “give up knowledge”? Does this mean never study? Or is it giving up trying to remember what I study, especially word for word. Also I was reading that the sage has little virtue and takes his from the people. What does this mean? I am learning “gongfu tea” on my way down from the mountain, I think my wife will enjoy this. I am growing at a rate I never thought possible. Thank you for the opportunity to get closer to the real me, to get closer to Dao. I trust you and will listen and act upon your directions to the best of my ability, I hope the last/next (not last) three months are as full as growth as the first.
